Back in December, I debated about adding a post to design.Principles pointing my readers to Glenn Jones’ Ajax link tracker, but never did. My thought at the time was whether or not I personally would use something like this when I already have multiple stat applications tracking each of my sites. Plus, I was unsure of the additional page load implications of the script.

Well, the time has come to officially reverse that original opinion, as Glenn has released Mapsurface, which, for lack of a better word, is an in-page widget that shows a few stats (link clickthrough rates, referrers, etc) for that specific page. As a beta tester, Andy Budd has an excellent review of the application and working demo. If you are a stats nerd like myself, then this is just another great tool that you may want to take a look at.
